PATRICIA JENKINS GIBSON

Arequipa, Peru 1954

Patica Jenkins’ work delves into geometric abstraction, exploring color, form and visual perception.

Her approach, described as geometric poetic illusionism, challenges traditional visual canons. She proposes a universe of chromatic tensions in which each colour has a precise purpose. Through her work, Patica reinterprets the colour palette as an exercise in balance between the formal, the perceptual and the contextual, creating a thought-provoking visual language. Her art transcends conventional representation, becoming a field of perceptual variations that defy the idea of a single meaning.
