CAROLINA GARCIA

Carolina Garcia Freundt is a Peruvian-born artist based in Miami, Florida.
She works with watercolors, acrylics, and mixed media, using a variety of surfaces such as paper, wood, and canvas.
After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and Journalism, Carolina’s artistic journey evolved from designing newspapers and editing magazines to creating clothing, handmade jewelry, and eventually exploring ceramics and painting.

She honed her skills by attending local workshops in Lima. Carolina draws inspiration from everyday life experiences and how the mind processes them—whether through expression, suppression, or transformation into feelings, expectations, and dreams.

Her approach to art is highly intuitive; she begins each piece without a clear vision of the final result, allowing her intuition to guide the process and materialize unconscious visions.
In recent years, her work has focused on exploring the influence of media on daily life and its role in shaping societal norms, particularly regarding women’s roles and expectations.
In 2023, Carolina founded the Biscayne Art Collective in Miami, a community of visual artists who live and create around Biscayne Bay, a stunning natural environment. The collective fosters collaboration, ideas exchange, and mutual support among its members.
The artist also shares her expertise and personal philosophy through creativity workshops at her Miami studio. Drawing on her experiences and the knowledge gained from countless teachers, she helps others express their uniqueness and experience the joy of creating art.
